Played the demo. At its best the control scheme feels like puppeteering which is a grand step forward compared to average. There are however a lot of weaknesses... Some of the sequences of buttons to press and hold make no sense and are if not complicated somewhat annoying. I have never built a complex 3D-game but it is beyond me how anyone can fail so horribly with the commands for walking. There is also some unwelcome traditional button pressing in action sequences. This and the fact that the demo crashed repeatedly makes me think I´ll hold off on Heavy Rain until it can be found in the bargain bin. The graphics are beautiful and the story seems good but my hopes where just to high. In other words not a new standard but hopefully an inspiration for other game developers.
